Bus Detour for No. 505 in Atlantic City – Sunday, October 19, 2025

Effective Sunday, October 19, from 6:30 AM until 12:30 PM, Gardners Basin and Longport will be closed between Gardners Basin/32 Street and Atlantic Avenue/End of the line due to the Atlantic City Marathon. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 505 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Gardners Basin will travel from Atlantic and Delaware avenues, make a left on Delaware Avenue, right on Arctic Avenue, continue on Grammercy Avenue, left on Vermont Avenue, left on Madison Avenue, and then Layover on Madison Avenue.  
• Buses traveling toward Margate/Longport  will travel from Madison and Rhode Island avenues, continue on Madison Avenue, left on Delaware Avenue, right on Atlantic Avenue, and then continue the regular route. Longport service will end at 32nd Street with no service to end of line. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
