Bus Detour for No. 553 in Mays Landing - Thursday, October 30, 2025

Effective Thursday, October 30, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Main Street will be closed between Route 40 and River Drive (at the Marina) and Main Street and River Drive for a Halloween Parade.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 553 in Mays Landing will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Atlantic City will travel from Route 40 and River Drive, make a right on River Drive (at the Marina), bear left on Main Street, continue on Harding Highway, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Upper Deerfield will travel from the fork of Main Street and River Drive, make a left on River Drive, continue on River Drive, left on Route 40 South, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
