Newark Liberty International Airport Station: Station Improvements – Saturday, November 8 & Sunday, November 9, 2025
On Saturday, November 8 at 10:00 PM through Sunday, November 9 at 6:00 AM, pedestrian access to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) Station will be limited while the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey work on long-term station improvements.
Customers should be aware of the following changes due to work taking place during this time:
- Temporary lighting will be provided on the eastbound (to New York) platform, which serves Northeast Corridor Tracks A and 1, as well as on the pedestrian overpass and in a portion of the monorail station. (The westbound platform, which serves NEC Tracks 4 and 5, will not be affected.)
- Customer waiting areas on the eastbound platform will be closed.
- Escalators will not be available during this time; customers will be required to use elevators or stairs.
- Ticket Vending Machines may not be available. Customers boarding at EWR Station will NOT be charged an additional fee for buying their tickets on board trains.
Customers are encouraged to use caution when moving through EWR Station and follow the directions of all uniformed personnel.
