Bus Detour for No. 72 in Bloomfield – Friday, November 14, 2025

Effective Friday, November 14, from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM, Broad Street will be closed between West Passaic and Watchung avenues due to milling and paving.   

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 72 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark Penn Station will travel from Broad Street and Bellevue Avenue, make a right on Bellevue Avenue, left on West Circuit Drive, left on Watchung Avenue, right on Broad Street, and then continue the regular route.     
• Buses traveling toward Broadway Bus Terminal will travel from Broad Street and Watchung Avenue, make a left on Watchung Avenue, right on East Circuit Drive, right on Bellevue Avenue, left on Broad Street, and then continue the regular route.       

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
