Bus Detour for No. 162 in Hackensack - Tuesday, November 18, 2025

Effective Tuesday, November 18, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Essex Street will be closed between Summit Avenue and First Street for milling and paving.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 162 in Hackensack will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward PABT will travel from Prospect Avenue and Atlantic Street, make a left on Atlantic Street, right on First Street, continue on Polifly Road, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Maywood will travel from Polifly Road and Essex Street, continue on First Street, make a left on Atlantic Street, right on Prospect Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
