Bus Detour for No. 24 in Elizabeth – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately, and continuing until Friday, December 12 at 8:00 PM, 3rd Street will be closed between Port and Trumbull Streets due to road work. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 24 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Elizabeth/JGM will travel from 3rd Street and Port Avenue, make a right on Port Avenue, left on 2nd Street, left on Trumbull Street, right on Veterans Memorial Drive, and then continue the regular route.     
• Buses traveling toward Orange/Erie Loop will travel from Veterans Memorial Drive and Trumbull Street, make a left on Trumbull Street, right on Second Street, right on Magnolia Avenue, left on 3rd Street, and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
