Bus Detour for No. 164 in Ridgewood - Friday, December 5, 2025

Effective Friday, December 5, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, East Ridgewood Avenue will be closed between South Maple Avenue and South Broad Street for the Downtown for the Holidays Tree Lighting.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 164 in Ridgewood will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward PABT will travel from Godwin Avenue and Doremus Avenue, make a right on Doremus Avenue, left to continue on Ackerman Avenue, left on South Broad Street, right on Passaic Street, right on Prospect Street, right on South Maple Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Midland Park will travel from South Maple Avenue and Union Street, make a left on Union Street, left on Dayton Street, continue on Hudson Street, left on South Broad Street, right on Ackerman Avenue, right on Doremus Avenue, left on Godwin Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
