Atlantic City Rail Line: Weekday Buses Replace Trains – Tuesday, February 17, through Friday, March 13, 2026
Beginning on Tuesday, February 17, and continuing on weekdays through Friday, March 13, NJ TRANSIT Rail service will be replaced by NJ TRANSIT Bus service from approximately 7:30 AM until 2:30 PM to allow for track improvements along the rail line.
NJ TRANSIT Bus service operating in place of Atlantic City Line train service will operate in two segments:
- The regular No. 554 service will operate between Atlantic City (originating from the Bus Terminal) and Lindenwold, with intermediate stops at Absecon, Egg Harbor City, Hammonton and Atco.
- NOTE: During this time, the Atlantic City Jitney Association service will also operate between the Atlantic City Rail and Bus Terminals. From the Rail Terminal, Jitney service will depart 10 minutes before the scheduled bus departure. See printer-friendly schedules for details here.
- A special shuttle bus operating between Lindenwold and Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, with intermediate stops at Cherry Hill and Pennsauken Transit Center.
- Customers can transfer between the two bus segments at Lindenwold.
