Bus Detour for No. 108 in Newark - Friday, March 13, 2026
Effective Friday, March 13, from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Central Avenue and Park Place will be closed between University Avenue and Mulberry Street for the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 108 in Newark will operate on a detour as follows:
- Buses traveling toward New York will travel from University Avenue at Central Avenue, continue straight on University Avenue, make a left on Raymond Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.
- Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Raymond Boulevard and McCarter Highway, make a right on McCarter Highway, right on the jughandle for Lombardy Street, continue on Lombardy Street, right on Broad Street, left on Lackawanna Street, left on University Avenue, right on Orange Street, right on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.
Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
