Bus Detour for No. 40 in Harrison, Kearny, and North Arlington - Effective Immediately

Effective Tuesday, February 24 until Thursday, February 26, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, Elm Street and Davis Avenue will be closed between Harrison Avenue and Belleville Turnpike for a snow detour. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 40 in Harrison, Kearny, and North Arlington will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Elizabeth will travel from Harrison Avenue and Davis Avenue, continue on Harrison Avenue, make a left on Schuyler Avenue, make a left on Belleville Turnpike, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward North Arlington will travel from Belleville Turnpike and Elm Street, continue on Belleville Turnpike, make a right on Schuyler Avenue, make a right on Harrison Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
