Bus Detour for No. 13 in Newark – Thursday, March 5, 2026

Effective Thursday, March 5, from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM, Broadway will be closed between Montclair and Elwood Avenues due to a movie shoot. 

NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 13 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Irvington will travel from Broadway and Montclair Avenue, make a right on Montclair Avenue, left on Mt. Prospect Avenue, left on Elwood Avenue, right on Broadway, and then continue the regular route. 
• Buses traveling toward Belleville/Nutley/Clifton will travel from Broadway and Elwood Avenue, make a left on Elwood Avenue, right on Mt. Prospect Avenue, right on Montclair Avenue, left on Broadway, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
