Bus Detour for No. 40 in Harrison - Sunday, March 15, 2026

Effective Sunday, March 15, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard will be closed between Harrison Avenue and Bergen Street for the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 40 in Harrison will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Elizabeth/Jersey Gardens will travel from Harrison Avenue and 5th Street, make a left on 5th Street, right on Bergen Street, left on Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward North Arlington will travel from Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard and Bergen Street, make a right on Bergen Street, left on 5th Street, right on Harrison Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
