Bus Detour for Nos. 24 & 108 in Newark – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately, and continuing until Friday, March 20 at 5:00 PM, Central Avenue will be closed between University and Washington Avenues due to building construction.

NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 24 and 108 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Elizabeth will travel from Central and University Avenues, make a right on University Avenue, left on Warren Street, left on Washington Street, right on Central Avenue, and then continue the regular route. 
• Buses traveling toward Orange will travel from Central Avenue and Washington Street, make a right on Washington Street, left on James Street, left on University Avenue, right on Central Avenue, and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
