Bus Detour for No. 24 in Newark – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately, and continuing until Thursday, March 26 at 11:59 PM, Broad Street will be closed between Broad and Emmet Streets due to PSE&G work. 

NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 24 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Elizabeth will travel from Broad and Murray Streets, make a right on Murray Street, left on Pennsylvania Avenue, right on Poinier Street, and then continue the regular route.  
• Buses traveling toward Orange will travel from Pennsylvania Avenue and Emmet Street, continue on Pennsylvania Avenue, right on South Street, left on Broad Street, and then continue the regular route.   

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
