Princeton Junction & Hamilton Station: Temporary Boarding Changes Due to Ongoing Track Work – Friday, July 30 to Monday, August 2, 2021

Continuing until 5AM Monday, August 2, boarding/alighting at Hamilton Station and Princeton Junction is affected by Amtrak infrastructure work.

Track 4 is out of service at both stations and westbound trains are boarding/alighting on alternate tracks using a limited number of extended high-level platforms. As a result, there may be slightly longer station stops and minor delays due to the precise positioning of trains required to board/alight customers.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ADA CUSTOMERS

  • Customers requiring level detraining at Princeton Junction and Hamilton stations should inform the crew when they board the train (at stations from New York through New Brunswick) and follow any special instructions (including in which car they should board).
  • Customers requiring level boarding at Princeton Junction and Hamilton stations should follow instructions from the uniformed conductor on the platform. If the conductor is not available:
    • At Princeton Junction, go to the west end of the platform (opposite end from the Princeton Dinky) and wait near the extended high-level platform until the train arrives and the crew on the train gives boarding instructions (passengers will detrain first).
    • At Hamilton, go to the east end of the platform (when coming from the elevators, turn left) and wait near the extended high-level platform until the train arrives and the crew on the train gives boarding instructions (passengers will detrain first).

Please allow for extra travel time, listen to station announcements and check destination sign before boarding. For your safety, observe posted signs, and do not travel through barricaded areas.
