East Orange Station: Westbound Elevator Closed Temporarily for Sidewalk Improvements – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately until further notice, the Track 3 westbound platform elevator at East Orange Station will be temporarily closed due to sidewalk improvements being performed by the City of East Orange.

Customers requiring elevator service may consider these alternate travel options:

RAIL:

• Traveling TO East Orange from points east (e.g., Newark/New York): Take an outbound train to South Orange Station and then transfer to an inbound train to East Orange.
• Traveling FROM East Orange Station to points west (e.g., Dover): Take an inbound train to Newark Broad Street Station and then transfer to an outbound train to your destination.

BUS:

• NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 21 departs from East Orange Station for service to Newark Penn Station where New York-bound trains, light rail and PATH service is available.
