Delays of up to 20 minutes possible in both directions 

During the weekends of October 23 to October 24 and again on October 30 to October 31 from 7AM Saturdays to 7PM Sundays, trains on NJ TRANSIT's Morris & Essex Lines may experience delays of up to 20 minutes in and out of New York due to tree trimming work near Morristown Station and PSEG work near Chatham Station.

Delays of up to 20-30 minutes possible in both directions 

On Friday, November 5 at 10PM to Monday, November 8 at 5AM, trains on NJ TRANSIT's Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Morris & Essex Lines may experience delays of up to 20-30 minutes in and out of New York due to track work on the Portal Bridge.

UPDATE: Escalator 5B has returned to service.

Beginning in late October 2021 and continuing for approximately one month, the westbound elevator at Newark Broad Street Station will be temporarily out of service for modernization and repairs. 

During this time, the westbound platform at Newark Broad Street Station will not be ADA accessible. 

Customers requiring accessible services may consider the following alternate travel options:

On Saturday, October 9, NJ TRANSIT will offer Rail service to/from Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for the Aventura concert.

On Saturday, October 2 and Sunday, October 3 from 8AM to 3PM each day, trains on NJ TRANSIT's Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Morris & Essex Lines may experience delays of up to 20-30 minutes in and out of New York due to construction work on the Portal Bridge.

Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, Escalator 8, serving Track 1 in the Main/South Concourse near Starbucks at Newark Penn Station, will be temporarily out of service for repairs.

On Sunday, October 3, NJ TRANSIT will offer Rail service to/from Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for the New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans football game.
