Metuchen Station: Platform Lighting Improvement Project – Effective Immediately
Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, a platform lighting improvement project will be conducted at Metuchen Station.
During this time, work zones will be blocked off, and the platform will remain open for customers to use.
NJ TRANSIT Offers Rail Service between Secaucus Junction/Hoboken & MetLife Stadium for the Giants vs. Vikings Football Game – Sunday, December 21, 2025
On Sunday, December 21, NJ TRANSIT will offer rail service to and from Secaucus Junction/Hoboken and MetLife Stadium for the New York Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings football game.
Newark Penn Station: Station Entrances at Market Street Bus Lane Closed - Saturday, December 13, to Sunday, December 21, 2025
The entrances will be closed due to door replacement on the following dates:

The staircases will be closed due to door replacement. During this time, please walk back in the other direction on the platform and exit through the station to reach the street level.

Penn Station New York: Select Staircase to Elevator Concourse Closed – Monday, December 15, 2025
The staircase between Tracks 7 and 8 entrance and Tracks 9 and 10 entrance, which leads to the elevator concourse, will be closed due to refurbishment.
During this time, customers can access the elevator concourse by using the staircase between Tracks 1 and 2 and Tracks 3 and 4 entrances.
Rahway Station: Station Underpass and Plaza Upgrades – Wednesday, December 17, to Monday, December 22, 2025
Upgrade work will be underway in the underpass as well as the plaza of Rahway Station.
During this time, work zones will be blocked off, and customers may still use the overpass during travel through the station.
Customers are encouraged to obey all posted signage and construction barricades.
Hamilton Station: Overpass Floor Repairs – Effective Immediately
Beginning Thursday, November 20, until late April, floor repair work in the overpass at Hamilton Station will be taking place nightly.
During this time, work zones will be blocked off, and customers may still use the overpass during travel through the station.
Customers are encouraged to obey all posted signage and construction barricades.

Elevator 2 at Montclair State University Station has returned to service.
