Penn Station New York: Temporary Entrance Closure – August 15 through August 18, 2025
Penn Station New York’s 31st Street and 7th Avenue entrance will be closed beginning Friday, August 15 at 11:30 PM, through Monday, August 18, for a video wall update.
Please use the alternate entrance located on 32nd Street and 7th Avenue. Customers needing ADA access can use the elevators on 32nd Street and 7th Avenue during this time.
NJ TRANSIT Offers Rail Service between Secaucus Junction & MetLife Stadium for Premier League Summer Series
On Saturday, July 26, NJ TRANSIT will offer rail service to and from Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for Premier Summer Series games.
Raritan Station: Long-Term ADA Ramp Repair – Effective Immediately
The eastern ADA accessible ramp, from the westbound platform to the parking area will be closed due to long-term repair, effective immediately until January 2026.
During this time, we ask that customers be mindful of posted signage and utilize the other ADA accessible ramps at the station for travel needs.
Northeast Corridor: Amtrak Switch Replacement Work – Effective Friday, July 18 to Wednesday, July 23, 2025
Beginning at approximately 8:00 PM on Friday, July 18, through 5:00 AM on Wednesday, July 23, Amtrak switch replacement work between Trenton and Hamilton stations may result in delays of up to 15 minutes on all trains, especially during weekday morning peak periods.
North Jersey Coast Line: Beverage Ban – Saturday, July 19, 2025
No beverages of any kind, in any type of container, open or closed, will be permitted on board trains, buses, or light rail vehicles due to events at the Monmouth Park Racetrack. This policy will be strictly enforced.
Penn Station New York: Tracks 7 & 8 Escalator 4B Temporarily Closed – Effective Immediately
Effective immediately, and continuing until Monday, July 21, escalator 4B (tracks 7 and 8) will be out of service due to weather-related issues in Penn Station New York.
During this outage, staircases and elevators will be available to customers. Customers requiring ADA assistance can utilize the elevators on the 8th Avenue (West End) of the platform.

On Friday, July 18, Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20, NJ TRANSIT will offer rail service to and from Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for Zach Bryan concerts.
Metropark Station: Overnight Platform Repair – Beginning Thursday, July 24, 2025
Effective overnight between 6:00 PM and 5:00 AM from Thursday, July 24, through Sunday, July 27, portions of the eastbound and westbound platforms will be closed for repairs and resurfacing.
NOTE: On Sunday, July 27, the underpass tunnel will also be under construction with limited access. Customers are encouraged to allow extra travel time while work is ongoing.
Morris & Essex Lines and Gladstone Branch: Possible Delays due to Track Maintenance – Monday, July 14, to Friday, August 8, 2025
On weekdays from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, delays of up to 15 minutes are possible on eastbound (to New York and Hoboken) trains between Milburn and New York/Hoboken stations due to track maintenance.
During this time, eastbound trains will stop on Track 1 from Maplewood through East Orange stations.
Morris & Essex Lines: Possible Delays due to Track Maintenance – Saturday, July 19, 2025
Delays of up to 30 minutes are possible on westbound (to Dover) trains at Mount Tabor, Denville, and Dover stations due to track work near Dover Station.
