Pascack Valley Line: Buses Replace Weekday Trains between Spring Valley & Secaucus for Track Rehabilitation Work – Monday, April 25 to June 24, 2022
Beginning on Monday, April 25 and continuing until June 24, 2022, on weekdays only from approximately 8:45AM to 3PM, buses will replace Pascack Valley Line (PVL) trains between Spring Valley Station and Secaucus Junction due to track rehabilitation work.

Service Information:
- Connecting rail service will be available between Secaucus Junction and Hoboken Terminal.
- Buses will operate in two sections:
- A local bus will make all stops between New Bridge Landing and Secaucus Junction.
- An express bus will all stops between Spring Valley and New Bridge Landing and operate express between New Bridge Landing and Secaucus Junction.
- EXCEPTION: The replacement buses for Train 1622 (the 8:50AM departure from Spring Valley) will operate in three sections:
- Spring Valley to Pearl River, then express to Secaucus Junction.
- Montvale to New Bridge Landing, then express to Secaucus Junction.
- New Bridge Landing to Secaucus Junction, making all stops.
- EXCEPTION: The replacement buses for Train 1622 (the 8:50AM departure from Spring Valley) will operate in three sections:
- NOTE: There are no scheduled connections between the buses at New Bridge Landing. Customers traveling locally (between Pascack Valley Line stations) and wishing to connect between buses may need to wait up to 60 minutes at New Bridge Landing.
Alternate Travel Options:
- Main/Bergen County Line: PVL customers may use their tickets/passes to travel via Main/Bergen County line trains. See Train Schedules for service details.
- Bus Route No. 165: Customers may use Bus Route No. 165 (Westwood-Port Authority Bus Terminal), which will make stops within two blocks of PVL stations, between Westwood and Essex Street, for travel into New York City.
IMPORTANT: Please allow for extra travel time of 30-60 minutes.
