South Amboy Station: Eastbound & Westbound Elevators Out of Service One at a Time for Repairs – Monday, August 16 & Tuesday, August 17, 2021
The Eastbound and Westbound elevators at South Amboy Station will be temporarily out of service for cleaning and repairs, one at a time, as follows:
UPDATE: Newark Penn Station: Track A South Entrance Reopened Following Tile Replacement Work - Effective Immediately
UPDATE: Track A south entrance reopened.
Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, access to the Track A south entrance, located in the Main Concourse at Newark Penn Station will be temporarily unavailable due to tile replacement work.
During this time, customers may use the Main Concourse’s north entrance staircase or the ramp adjacent to Track A’s north entrance, which leads to Elevator No. 36.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance Newark Penn Station.
Atlantic City Rail Line: Rail Service for Atlantic City Airshow – Wednesday, August 18, 2021
On Wednesday, August 18, NJ TRANSIT will operate additional Rail service on the Atlantic City Rail Line (ACRL) to/from the Atlantic City Airshow. The extra service will serve Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, providing an additional opportunity for interstate travel.

Newark Broad Street Station: Eastbound/University Avenue Staircase Temporarily Closed for Platform Work – Thursday, August 19 to Saturday, August 21, 2021
On Thursday, August 19 through Saturday, August 21, Newark Broad Street’s University Avenue staircase, located on the eastbound platform of Track 2, will be temporarily out of service for platform repairs.
Newark Broad Street Station: Westbound/MLK Blvd. Staircase Temporarily Closed for Platform Work – Monday, August 16 to Wednesday, August 18, 2021
On Monday, August 16 through Wednesday, August 18, Newark Broad Street’s Martin Luther King Blvd. staircase, located on the westbound platform of Track 2, will be temporarily out of service for platform repairs.
