New York Penn Station: Escalator 1B Temporarily Out of Service for Repairs – Effective Immediately
Effective immediately, Escalator 1B, which serves Tracks 1 & 2, located in the 7th Avenue Concourse, will be temporarily out of service for repairs.
Secaucus Junction: Escalator 4 Temporarily Out of Service – Tuesday, May 11 to Friday, May 14, 2021
On Tuesday evening, May 11 through Friday, May 14, Escalator No. 4, located between the rotunda to the south mezzanine for Tracks E, F, G H and the station’s entrance at the bus plaza at Secaucus Junction Station, will be temporarily out of service for a scheduled cleaning.
Newark Penn Station: Track 2 North Entrance Temporarily Unavailable for Tile Replacement Work - Beginning Monday, May 10, 2021
Beginning at 6AM Monday, May 10 and continuing until further notice, the north entrance to the Track 2 platform at Newark Penn Station’s main concourse will be temporarily unavailable due to tile replacement work.

Beginning at 10:30AM and continuing until 2PM Thursday, May 6, Escalator 7A, serving the 31st Street entrance at New York Penn Station, will be temporarily out of service for repairs.
New York Penn Station: Escalator 4B Temporarily Out of Service for Repairs – Monday, May 10 to Tuesday, May 18, 2021
Beginning on or about Monday, May 10 and continuing until Tuesday, May 18, Escalator 4B, serving Tracks 7/8 in the 7th Avenue Concourse at New York Penn Station, will be temporarily out of service for repairs.
UPDATE: Somerville Station: Eastbound Platform Improvement Project at Somerville Station - Effective Friday, April 30, 2021
Beginning on or about Friday, April 30 and continuing through the first week of May, NJ TRANSIT will begin re-surfacing and re-coating on the eastbound platform at Somerville Station.
During this time, some benches and garbage cans will be temporarily removed from the eastbound platform. Various sections of the platform will also be closed during this time. Trains can still be boarded from the platforms during construction, however customers should not cross beyond temporary barricades.
Note: Train service will not be affected by this work.
Port Jervis Line: Buses Replace Trains due to Viaduct Maintenance - Weekend | Friday, May 14 to Sunday, May 16, 2021
Beginning late Friday, May 14 and continuing through early Sunday evening, May 16, buses (operated by Leprechaun Bus Company) will replace Port Jervis Line trains between Harriman and Port Jervis stations due to maintenance work on the Moodna Viaduct.
