ALL NJ TRANSIT RAIL SERVICE SUSPENDED 

NJ TRANSIT: CRITICAL RAIL SERVICE ADVISORY

Due to a potential strike by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, NJ TRANSIT strongly advises all train customers to complete their travels and arrive at their final destination no later than 11:59 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Effective Thursday, May 15, at approximately 2:00 PM, and continuing until late evening on Friday, May 16, construction activity at Metropark Station will temporarily alter traffic patterns for vehicles entering the West Parking Deck, as well as for pedestrians exiting the northern side of the West Parking Deck.

Effective Monday, May 19 and continuing until late 2026, the sidewalk leading to Wood Avenue will be closed due to the enhancement of Metropark Station, including the installation of a new shared pedestrian and bicycle path.

Due to the potential strike by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, NJ TRANSIT will NOT operate rail or bus service to or from MetLife Stadium for the Shakira Concerts scheduled for Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16.

Effective immediately and continuing until approximately Monday, May 19, elevator P7A (31st Street) will be out of service due to repairs.

During this outage, staircases and escalators will be available to customers. Customers requiring ADA assistance can utilize the elevators on the 8th Avenue (West End) of the station.

Effective Tuesday, May 13, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, escalator 2A (tracks 3 and 4) will be out of service due to routine maintenance. 

Effective Wednesday, May 14, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, escalator 2B (tracks 3 and 4) will be out of service due to routine maintenance.

Effective Wednesday, May 14 and continuing until approximately Wednesday, May 21, each day from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Brick Church Way will be closed due to infrastructure improvements at Brick Church Station. 

Effective Monday, May 12, the east end of the Track 1 platform (to Long Branch/Bay Head) will be open for high-level boarding while NJ TRANSIT continues work on the Perth Amboy Station reconstruction project. 

LIMITED PARKING OPTIONS:

A portion of the commuter parking lot located adjacent to Market Street continues to be temporarily closed. Customers may use other available parking spaces in the lot.
