NJ TRANSIT Thanksgiving Holiday Rail Service – Wednesday, November 27 to Friday, November 29, 2024

On Wednesday, November 27 through Friday, November 29, NJ TRANSIT Rail service will operate with some modifications for the Thanksgiving weekend as follows:

SERVICE NOTES:

Early Getaway Service - Wednesday, November 27: Trains will operate on a weekday schedule on all lines with additional “Early Getaway” service from Penn Station New York, Newark Penn Station, and Hoboken Terminal starting at 2PM on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Morris & Essex, and Port Jervis lines.

NEC, NJCL & Midtown Direct: Delays due to Amtrak Track Work – Effective Friday, May 30, 2025

Beginning Friday, May 30, and continuing on weekends from 10PM on Friday until 5AM on Monday until further notice, Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, and Midtown Direct trains may be subject to delays of up to 20 minutes in each direction due to Amtrak infrastructure improvements between Newark and New York. 

TRAINS TO NEW YORK

  • Trains may be delayed at Secaucus and New York Penn stations.

TRAINS FROM NEW YORK

Metropark Station: Underpass Tunnel Partial Closure – Saturday, November 23, 2024

Beginning Saturday, November 23, and continuing until approximately Friday, November 29, 2024, maintenance will occur in sections on the underpass tunnel to Track 4. 

During this time, we ask that customers be aware of the construction activity, follow all posted signage, and avoid the barricaded areas.

We appreciate your patience during this temporary adjustment.

Hoboken Terminal: PATH Station Closed due to Rehabilitation – Beginning Thursday, January 30, 2025

Beginning approximately Thursday, January 30 and continuing until Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the PATH area of Hoboken Terminal will be closed due to renovation work. NJ TRANSIT services to and from Hoboken Terminal will operate as scheduled with some enhancements; however, NJ TRANSIT bus and light rail are unable to fully accommodate all the daily Hoboken PATH Ridership.
