Please be advised that at a random time during the week of October 21, Newark Penn Station will be conducting an EMPLOYEE FIRE DRILL. Please be aware that the alarms will be audible throughout the facility, and listen to station announcements.

Customers WILL NOT be required to evacuate.

Beginning at 11PM on Saturday, October 26, and continuing until 5:45AM on Monday, October 28, the 31st Street and 7th Avenue Entrance at Penn Station New York will be closed.

During this time, customers may utilize the 32nd Street and 8th Avenue entrance to access the station.

We appreciate your patience as we accommodate this adjustment.

Effective immediately and continuing until approximately Friday, November 1, the Track 4 westbound platform at North Elizabeth Station will be closed each night after the 1:49AM departure and reopened before the 4:40AM departure.

On Saturday, October 26, NJ TRANSIT will offer Rail service to/from Hoboken/Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for the Navy vs. Notre Dame football game.

On Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3, from approximately 6:30AM until 4:30PM each day, Midtown Direct and Montclair Line trains will incur delays of up to 15 minutes due to overhead wire maintenance:

On Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, from approximately 6:30AM until 5PM both days, westbound trains may experience delays up to 30 minutes at Mount Tabor, Denville, and Dover stations due to infrastructure maintenance.

Beginning at the start of service on Saturday, November 2, and continuing until the end of service on Sunday, November 3, buses will replace trains between Bay Head and Long Branch to support signal improvements.

Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, escalators 34 and 35 serving Newark Light Rail Platforms 4 and 5 at Newark Penn Station will be closed due to modernization upgrades.

During this time, customers may use elevator 32, located on Platform 4’s center island in the Newark Light Rail, and the staircases on Platforms 4 and 5 to enter the main level of Newark Penn Station.

Delays of up to 15 minutes are possible

On Sunday, October 20, NJ TRANSIT will offer Rail service to/from Hoboken/Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for the Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles football game.
