NJ TRANSIT Rail Service: New Rail Schedules – Effective Sunday, November 10, 2024
On Sunday, November 10, new NJ TRANSIT Rail schedules will take effect on all lines. Please check timetables carefully for numerous adjustments in addition to the time and stop changes noted below:
Morris & Essex Lines:
MetLife Stadium: NJ TRANSIT Offers Rail Service between Hoboken/Secaucus Junction & MetLife Stadium for Giants vs. Commanders – Sunday, November 3, 2024
On Sunday, November 3, TRANSIT will offer Rail service to/from Hoboken/Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for the Giants vs. Commanders football game.
Newark Broad Street Station: Ceiling Repair – Effective Tuesday, October 29, 2024
Beginning Tuesday, October 29, and continuing until approximately Friday, November 1, the exterior stairs leading to the tunnel for Tracks 1 and 3 and the Tracks 1 and 3 elevator will be temporarily closed at Newark Broad Street Station due to ceiling repair and painting.
Large Crowds Expected In and Around Penn Station New York on Sunday, October 27, 2024
In anticipation of former President Trump’s planned event at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, October 27, elevated crowd levels are expected in and around Penn Station New York (PSNY), beginning at approximately 10AM and continuing through approximately 10PM.
North Jersey Coast Line: Trains Departing Early due to Track Work – Monday, November 4, 2024
On Monday, November 4, certain eastbound morning rush hour trains will operate up to 10 minutes earlier than normal from Bay Head to Allenhurst due to signal improvements between Bay Head and Long Branch.
MetLife Stadium: NJ TRANSIT Offers Rail Service between Secaucus Junction & MetLife Stadium for Jets vs. Texans – Thursday, October 31, 2024
On Thursday, October 31, NJ TRANSIT will offer rail service to/from Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for the Jets vs. Texans football game.
Elizabeth and North Elizabeth Stations: Eastbound Amtrak Track Maintenance – Friday, November 1 through Monday, November 4, 2024
Effective Friday, November 1 through Monday, November 4, boarding will be affected on the eastbound platforms at Elizabeth and North Elizabeth stations due to Amtrak track maintenance.
Track 1 at both stations will be closed at the following times:
North Jersey Coast Line: Possible Delays due to Track Work - Sunday, October 27 & Sunday, November 3, 2024
Delays of up to 15 minutes are possible.
On Sunday, October 27 and Sunday, November 3, Westbound North Jersey Coast Line trains may be subject to delays of up to 15 minutes between Hazlet and Long Branch. Westbound shuttle trains may be delayed by up to 15 minutes from Long Branch Station westward.

Elizabeth and North Elizabeth Stations: Westbound Amtrak Track Maintenance – Friday, October 25 to Monday, October 28, 2024
Effective Friday, October 25, through Monday, October 28, boarding will be affected on the westbound platforms at Elizabeth and North Elizabeth stations due to Amtrak track maintenance.
Track 4 at both stations will be closed at the following times:
Metropark Station: Platform Construction – Beginning Wednesday, October 23, 2024
Effective Wednesday, October 23, until approximately Friday, November 22, maintenance will occur on the eastbound and westbound platform surfaces at Metropark Station.
During this time, we ask that customers be aware of the construction activity, follow all posted signage, and avoid barricaded areas.
