Light Rail

On Saturday, September 18 from 7AM to 5PM and Sunday, September 19 from 7AM to 3PM, the pedestrian bridge and elevators at Hudson Bergen Light Rail's 9th Street Station will be closed due to window-frame replacement and renovation work.

During this time, shuttle buses will be available to transport customers between 9th/Congress and 2nd Street stations.

Service notes:

Beginning on Saturday, September 18 and continuing until 8PM Sunday, September 19, boarding changes, schedule adjustments and a bus bridge will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Hudson Bergen Light Rail between 45th Street and Liberty State Park stations, in both directions, due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows.

On Saturday, September 18 from 2AM to 6:30PM, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows:

On Friday, September 17, River LINE Light Rail will operate an extra train from Entertainment Center Station at 11PM for the XPonential Music Festival on the Camden Waterfront at Wiggins Park. Service will operate to Pennsauken/Rt. 73 Station where passengers may board buses for travel to stations north of Camden.

On Saturday, September 11 to Sunday, September 12, boarding changes, schedule adjustments and a bus bridge will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Hudson Bergen Light Rail due to track maintenance work as follows. 

Saturday, September 11, 5AM to Sunday, September 12, 8PM 

On Saturday at 5AM until Sunday at 8PM, buses will replace trains on a load-and-go basis between 45th Street and Liberty State Park stations.

On Sunday, September 5 from 7AM to 3PM, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’S Hudson Bergen Light due to emergency track work as follows. During this time, trains will operate on Track 1 in both directions.

UPDATE: NJ TRANSIT light rail service is operating on a regular schedule. Customers on all modes should allow for extra travel time due to residual storm impacts.

On Monday, September 6 (Labor Day), Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) service will operate on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.

Regular weekend schedules will operate on Saturday, September 4 and Sunday, September 5.

On Monday, September 6 (Labor Day), Newark Light Rail (NLR) service will operate on a Saturday/Holiday schedule.
