On Sunday, November 2, NJ TRANSIT will offer rail service to and from Secaucus Junction/Hoboken and MetLife Stadium for the New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers football game.

Platform waiting room shelters at Elizabeth station will be closed on Monday, October 27 due to maintenance work. 

We appreciate your patience during this adjustment.

Effective Monday, October 27, until approximately Friday, October 31, maintenance will occur on the eastbound and westbound platform surfaces at Edison Station.

During this time, we ask that customers be aware of the construction activity, follow all posted signage, and avoid barricaded areas.

We appreciate your patience as we enhance Edison Station.

Each day, between 6:00 AM and 3:30 PM, the Ticket Vending Machines will be inaccessible due to refurbishments.

During these times, customers should use the NJ TRANSIT mobile app to purchase their ticket, or to purchase it aboard the train from the conductor (please note that the conductor cannot accept bills larger than $20).

The parking lot will be closed entirely from 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 26, until the morning of Tuesday, October 28, due to construction. Sections of the parking lot will reopen, but parking spots will remain limited until Friday, October 31.

At a random time, Newark Penn Station will be conducting an EMPLOYEE FIRE DRILL. 

Please listen to station announcements and be aware that the alarms will be audible throughout the facility.

Customers WILL NOT be required to evacuate.

On Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9, Pascack Valley Line trains will be replaced by Coach USA buses for the entire service day to support various infrastructure maintenance projects.

Beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until approximately 2:00 PM, the escalators (7A and 7B) located at 31st Street and 7th Avenue will be unavailable due to maintenance. Following this work, the escalator (5B) for Tracks 9 and 10 will be unavailable.

During this outage, staircases and elevators will be available to customers. Customers requiring ADA assistance can utilize the elevators on both the 7th and 8th Avenue sides of the platform.

Beginning at 9:00 PM on Friday, February 13 and continuing until 3:00 AM early Sunday, February 15, Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, and Midtown Direct trains are subject to delays of up to 20 minutes in each direction as Amtrak begins work on the Portal Bridge cutover.

On the dates above, escalator 1B servicing the west end of tracks 1 and 2 will be out of service between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM due to maintenance in Penn Station New York. 

During this outage, staircases and elevators will be available to customers. Customers requiring ADA assistance can utilize the elevators on both the 7th and 8th Avenue sides of the platform.
