Penn Station New York: Tracks 1 & 2 Escalator 1B Temporarily Closed – Thursday, October 16 & Friday, October 17, 2025

On the dates above, escalator 1B servicing the west end of tracks 1 and 2 will be out of service between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM due to maintenance in Penn Station New York. 

During this outage, staircases and elevators will be available to customers. Customers requiring ADA assistance can utilize the elevators on both the 7th and 8th Avenue sides of the platform.

NJ TRANSIT Service Impacts Due To Expected Heavy Rain, Strong Winds, and Potential Flooding on Monday, October 13, 2025

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of our customers and employees, and to protect NJ TRANSIT equipment, the following service adjustments are in effect. Systemwide cross-honoring is in effect for rail, private carriers, bus, and light rail service on Monday, October 13.

Orange Station: Partial Parking Lot Closure – Effective Friday, December 19, 2025

Effective Friday, December 19 through Monday, December 22, a portion of the parking lot at Orange Station will be closed for repaving and striping work. 

During this time, we ask that customers be aware of construction activity and follow all posted signage. 

Additional parking will be available for commuters in the LIA apartment building, located across the street at 51 Lincoln Avenue.

Mountain Station: Parking Lot Partially Closed – Saturday, October 11, 2025

The Vose Avenue side of the parking lot will be closed due to tree work.

During this time, customers can park on the Meeker Street side of the station and walk to the Vose Avenue side. Overnight parking on the Vose Avenue side will not be permitted on Friday, October 10.

Gladstone Branch: Special Schedule for Far Hills Race Meeting – Saturday, October 18, 2025

NJ TRANSIT is offering a special rail service between Hoboken and Far Hills to transport customers to and from the 104th run of the Far Hills Race Meeting on Saturday, October 18. NJ TRANSIT’s Far Hills Station on the Gladstone Branch of the Morris & Essex Lines is located directly across the street from Moorland Farms, the site of the event.
