North Jersey Coast Line: Possible Delays due to Track Maintenance – Sunday, January 4, 2026

Trains operating on the North Jersey Coast Line are subject to delays of up to 30 minutes in both directions due to track maintenance between Middletown and Hazlet stations during the following period:

 

  • Sunday, January 4, from approximately 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM.

 

The following trains may be affected:

Penn Station New York: Early Ticket Office Closure – Monday, September 22, 2025

Penn Station New York’s 7th Avenue ticket office will close at 10:45 PM due to communications maintenance. The office will reopen on Tuesday, September 23, at 6:00 AM.

During this time, customers may purchase tickets at the vending machines located near the ticket office, on the elevator concourse, or on the mobile app. 

NEC, NJCL & Midtown Direct: Delays due to Amtrak Track Work – Until Further Notice

Beginning Friday, May 30, and continuing on weekends from 10PM on Friday until 5AM on Monday until further notice, Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, and Midtown Direct trains may be subject to delays of up to 20 minutes in each direction due to Amtrak infrastructure improvements between Newark and New York. 

TRAINS TO NEW YORK

  • Trains may be delayed at Secaucus and New York Penn stations.

TRAINS FROM NEW YORK

Main-Bergen County Line and Port Jervis Line: Possible Delays Due To Track Maintenance – Effective Thursday, September 18, 2025

From Thursday, September 18 and continuing until Thursday, September 25, trains operating on the Main-Bergen County and Port Jervis lines are subject to delays of up to 20 minutes in both directions due to track maintenance between Secaucus and Lyndhurst stations. 

SERVICE NOTES:

Montclair-Boonton Line and Morristown Line: Track Adjustments – Saturday, November 1, and Sunday, November 2, 2025

Both days, from approximately 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, all eastbound (to New York) Morristown Line trains will operate on Track 1 at Newark Broad Street Station.

Westbound Morristown Line trains and all Montclair-Boonton Line trains will use their normal tracks and platforms.
