On Sunday, September 8, NJ TRANSIT will offer Rail service to/from Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for the Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings football game.

Effective Tuesday, September 3, and continuing until approximately Friday, November 15, a portion of the NJ TRANSIT waiting room at Penn Station New York will be closed due to renovations.

During this time, customers may continue to utilize the available open seating in this area. More seats are available in the waiting room area (Rotunda) on the 8th Avenue side of the station.

Effective Thursday, August 29 and continuing until approximately Friday, September 6, maintenance will occur on the Eastbound and Westbound platforms at New Brunswick Station.

During this time, platforms will be open for use, and customers are asked to be aware of the construction activity, follow all posted signage, and avoid barricaded areas. 

Effective Saturday, August 31, and continuing until further notice, the westmost end of the Track 4 (westbound to Trenton) Platform will be closed due to repairs. The rest of the Track 4 Platform will remain open.

During this time, we ask that customers board Trenton-bound trains on the open section of the platform. 

Please obey all posted signage, be aware of construction activity, and do not travel into barricaded areas. We appreciate your patience during these temporary adjustments.

Effective Tuesday, August 27th, from 12PM until 3PM, the interior staircase leading to the Eastbound (to New York) platform will be closed due to repairs.

During this time, customers are advised to use other available elevators and exterior staircases to enter and access the Eastbound Platform. 

On Monday, September 2 (Labor Day), NJ TRANSIT will operate extra rail service for Labor Day as detailed below. For complete rail schedule information, see Train Schedules.

To support infrastructure improvements on the Port Jervis Line, trains will be replaced by buses at all stations from Port Jervis through Sloatsburg, inclusive, from approximately 9AM until 4:30PM on weekdays until Friday, November 8.

Effective immediately and continuing until approximately January 2025, PATH entrances near Hudson Place will be closed due to staircase renovation. 

Effective immediately and continuing until approximately Summer of 2026, the western wall track staircase at Summit Station will be closed due to repairs. 

During this time, customers may continue to use the eastern stairs leading to Track 2/Wall Track, located directly across from the barricaded area. 

Effective Wednesday, August 21, until approximately Friday, August 30, maintenance will occur on the eastbound and westbound platform surfaces at Metuchen Station.

During this time, we ask that customers be aware of the construction activity, follow all posted signage, and avoid barricaded areas.
