Light Rail

On Thursday, November 27, (Thanksgiving), NJ TRANSIT Light Rail service will operate on modified service schedules as outlined below.

SERVICE NOTES:

River LINE:

Saturday, 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM: All trains will arrive on the inbound platforms at Orange Street and Park Avenue stations.

Each day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM: All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at Park Avenue, Orange Street, and Norfolk Street stations.

Delays in both directions

At the request of the Palmyra Police Chief, NJ TRANSIT will be reducing train speeds through Palmyra between 5PM and 9PM for their Annual Halloween Parade & Festivities, which is expected to attract a significant amount of pedestrian traffic around the light rail right-of-way.

During this time, River LINE Light Rail trains will run at a slower speed to maintain a safe environment for pedestrians during the parade. Service will resume to normal speed upon the conclusion of the parade & festivities.

Beginning at 6:00 AM, light rail service adjustments will occur on the Ben Franklin Bridge in Camden. During this time, the bridge will be closed, and certain light rail trains will be suspended as follows:

Each day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM: All trains will arrive on the inbound platforms at Park Avenue and Orange Street stations.

NJ TRANSIT will offer normal Saturday River LINE service for the Giveon concert at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion between Waterfront Entertainment Center and Bordentown stations. Due to construction, supplemental bus service will be provided between Bordentown and Trenton stations. 

NOTE: Both days, all trains will run on a normal Sunday schedule.

Due to a track outage, River LINE will have supplemental bus service between Trenton and Bordentown stations. Normal train service will operate between Bordentown Station and Waterfront Entertainment Center.

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of our customers and employees, and to protect NJ TRANSIT equipment, the following service adjustments are in effect. Systemwide cross-honoring is in effect for rail, private carriers, bus, and light rail service on Monday, October 13.
